WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM HYPNOTHERAPY?

ADD/ADHD
A chronic condition including attention difficulty, hyperactivity, and impulsiveness.
ADHD often begins in childhood and can persist into adulthood. It may contribute to low self-esteem, troubled relationships, and difficulty at school or work.
Symptoms include limited attention and hyperactivity.
Treatments include medication and talk therapy.
Addiction (process and substance)

Addiction is a biopsychosocial disorder characterized by compulsive engagement in rewarding behaviors despite adverse consequences. Addiction can be understood from diverse perspectives or “levels of analysis”.

Anxiety and Panic Disorders
A mental health disorder characterized by feelings of worry, anxiety, or fear that are strong enough to interfere with one’s daily activities
Examples of anxiety disorders include panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Symptoms include stress that’s out of proportion to the impact of the event, inability to set aside a worry, and restlessness.
Treatment includes counseling or medications, including antidepressants.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
A disorder in which a person has difficulty recovering after experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event.
The condition may last months or years, with triggers that can bring back memories of the trauma accompanied by intense emotional and physical reactions.
Symptoms may include nightmares or unwanted memories of the trauma, avoidance of situations that bring back memories of the trauma, heightened reactions, anxiety, or depressed mood.
Treatment includes different types of trauma-focused psychotherapy as well as medications to manage symptoms.
Sleeping Disorders
Persistent problems falling and staying asleep.
Most cases of insomnia are related to poor sleep habits, depression, anxiety, lack of exercise, chronic illness, or certain medications.
Symptoms may include difficulty falling or staying asleep and not feeling well-rested.
Treatment for insomnia consists of improving sleep habits, behavior therapy, and identifying and treating underlying causes. Sleeping pills may also be used, but should be monitored for side effects.
Hemophilia
A disorder in which blood doesn’t clot normally.
When blood can’t clot properly, excessive bleeding (external and internal) occurs after any injury or damage.
Symptoms include many large or deep bruises, joint pain and swelling, unexplained bleeding, and blood in urine or stool.
Treatment includes injections of a clotting factor or plasma.
Phobias

A phobia is a type of anxiety disorder defined by a persistent and excessive fear of an object or situation. The phobia typically results in a rapid onset of fear and is present for more than six months.

High blood pressure (hypertension)
A condition in which the force of the blood against the artery walls is too high.
Usually hypertension is defined as blood pressure above 140/90, and is considered severe if the pressure is above 180/120.
High blood pressure often has no symptoms. Over time, if untreated, it can cause health conditions, such as heart disease and stroke.
Eating a healthier diet with less salt, exercising regularly, and taking medications can help lower blood pressure.

THE COURSE

The trainings consist of 17 weekly 3 hour classes.

The first 8 weeks consist of theoretical instruction on both Ericksonian and T-FH philosophy and theory.

The next 9 weeks consist of practical training and supervision.

This is not a “weekend certification.” Due to the nature and application of T-FH, it will take time and practice to implement the techniques learned. We also offer supervision for our certified therapists in order to follow up and make sure every Certified Hypnotherapist feels comfortable applying the techniques in every situation including clients experiencing complex trauma.
